A CV that looks designed, not templated

KeptCV is a small design studio for your CV. Start from a themed template or a blank page, then shape every part (layout, colours, fonts, spacing and photo) while a live preview shows the exact page you'll export. Everything runs on your device, and nothing is ever uploaded.

26 designer themesModern, Indigo, Elegant Dark, Gold, Ocean, Blush, Emerald, Crimson and more, sorted into Professional, Modern, Classic, Minimal and Bold. Try one with a tap.
One- or two-column layoutsA classic single column or a full-height sidebar on either side. Send any section, your photo and your contacts into the sidebar.
Live preview, exactly your PDFOne engine renders the on-screen preview and the exported file, so what you see is what you get, down to the pixel.
Control every detailAccent, heading and page colours with a built-in colour wheel, font pairings, spacing, margins, page borders, bullet and chip styles, and subtle background patterns.
Export to PDF, Word, print & shareCrisp multi-page A4 or US Letter PDF with selectable text, plus a clean Word (.docx) file. Print via the system dialog, save to your device, or share the first page as an image.
Move CVs between devicesExport a CV as a portable .cvm file and open it on another phone or tablet. Content, design, settings and photo arrive exactly as you left them.
Skill and language levelsGive each skill or language a proficiency level and show it as neat dots or a bar on the page, or leave it as a plain list.
Add your photoCircle, rounded or square, sized to taste and auto-rotated. Images are copied into the app's private storage, never uploaded.
Undo, reorder, duplicateEvery edit is undoable. Reorder sections and entries, duplicate them, and hide any section without deleting its content.
English & SlovenianA localised app, and a language per CV that sets the built-in headings on the page, so an exported CV always reads in the right language.

Ready for the screening software

Before a person ever reads your CV, most employers feed it through an Applicant Tracking System (ATS): software that pulls your name, dates, roles and skills out of the file and into a database. A polished CV the parser cannot read can sink an application before anyone sees it. So every CV in KeptCV has an ATS-optimised switch. Turn it on to build for the software, or off for full design freedom when you know a person will read the page. You choose per CV, when you create it or any time from the Design tab.

What the switch changes

  • One clean columnTwo-column sidebars can scramble the reading order, so the page becomes a single top-to-bottom column.
  • Text a parser can readNo justified paragraphs, which can drop spaces when the text is pulled out, and no decorative borders or background patterns behind the words.
  • A clear, dated historyA gentle hint nudges you toward date formats a timeline parser understands, like Jan 2020 to Present.
  • Your photo stays putThe parser simply skips it, and CVs in much of Europe still include one, so ATS mode leaves your photo alone.

Export a Word file it can read

For the strictest systems, share a clean Word (.docx) file. Whatever the CV looks like on screen, the document is always a single column with proper heading styles, so the parser sees plain, structured text instead of a picture of a page.

Hand the .docx to the upload box that asks for one, and keep the pixel-perfect PDF for the human who reads it next. Both come from the same content, so nothing is retyped and nothing drifts out of sync.

Made for tablets and foldables, too

KeptCV is not a stretched phone app. On a 10-inch tablet, an unfolded foldable or any wide window it opens into a two-pane workspace: the editor on the left, a live preview of the finished page on the right, so every change lands in front of you as you type. The home library spreads into a multi-column grid, longer CVs preview as a two-page spread, and a half-folded phone can split the editor and preview across the crease. Rotate, fold or resize the window and the layout re-flows to fit, with your work exactly where you left it.

Data & privacy

KeptCV works entirely on your device and requests no network permission. Your CVs, your photo and your settings are stored locally. To move a CV to another device, you export a portable .cvm file yourself.
